Konstanz, September 14 - 16, 2017

In the last decade or so, there has been a renewed interest in speech acts within formal semantics and pragmatics, spurred by work on topics like clause typing, explicit performatives and discourse particles on the one hand, and the development of new formal models for the study of pragmatics and discourse on the other. Questioning Speech Acts aims to bring together researchers from various disciplines investigating speech acts and related notions.

Questioning Speech Acts was jointly organized by Project P5 of FOR2111 - Questions at the Interfaces and the Emmy Noether Group What is it to ask a question?, both at the University of Konstanz. The workshop was generously funded by FOR2111.
